DualSense Edge for PS5 has a smaller battery than the base model.
According to a new analysis, the PS5 pro controller has a smaller battery than the base model.
Dualsense Edge is now available on the market and includes many unique features compared to the standard model. However, according to a new analysis, the PS5 pro controller would have a smaller battery than the base Dualsense.
The information comes from a new Budd’s Controllers video, which was posted on Twitch. In the technical analysis of the controller, disassembled life, it is shown that the DualSense Edge features a 1,050 mAh battery. Recall that the basic controller for PS5 instead mounts a 1,560 mAh battery, therefore larger than the Dualsense Edge.
This is certainly not surprising, given that in the past Sony had already suggested that the battery life of the controller would be shorter than that of the base model to make room for the new buttons and the various functions present on the pad. It is therefore credible that Sony has preferred to opt for a smaller battery to put more functions inside the new Dualsense Edge.
Before leaving you, we remind you that the Dualsense Edge is the first high-performance ultra-customizable controller developed by Sony. The Pro Controller for PS5 was designed to allow you to have personalized controls for a gaming experience tailored to your personal style of play. For example, it will be possible to remap or disable specific input buttons , change the sensitivity of the analog sticks and dead zones.
There is also the possibility to modify the stick caps which are divided into three different types (standard, low dome, high dome), adjust the game volume and alter the sensitivity of the triggers and much more.
Dualsense Edge is now available at a price of 239.99 euros, while the replaceable lever modules are offered at a price of 24.99 euros.
