Donald Trump breaks the bank with NFTs: all digital collectible cards sold

Donald Trump arrives late, but it doesn’t matter because his first official NFT collection has sold out anyway. A collection of digital trading cards , featuring varying rarities, and sold in packs starting at as little as $99. Anyone who bought 45 won the right to participate in a private dinner with him.

The former president was able to count on a heterogeneous public of buyers made up of his fans and speculators in the NFT market (at historic lows, but still relatively alive). Collect Trump Cards, this is the name of the collection, includes several cards with photos and illustrations all dedicated to the New York tycon: some are historical photos of his presidency, others are memes or cartoons, like the one that portrays him in a super heroic version, with lots of of laser gaze (and which reminds us a little too much of The Boys’ Patriot).

Purchasing one or more collector’s cards in NFT format gave the right to participate in the extraction of some prizes, in addition to the aforementioned dinner, also gadgets signed by the former president, as well as a voice call on Zoom, an aperitif at Mar-A- Lake and even a round of golf.

Donald Trump’s NFTs have already ended up on the secondary market, and therefore on platforms such as OpenSea where they are currently traded at a minimum of 0.189ETH, i.e. just over $200.
