Deleting fake accounts

Elon Musk, who bought Twitter, stated that the ‘spam and fraudulent accounts’ on the platform were cleaned and announced that the number of followers of the users could decrease.
Twitter executives said they began deleting 1 million fake accounts daily “as part of an annual cleanup”. Authorities stated that they are working to eliminate the pressure initiated for bots and Spam Accounts. Due to the step taken, Musk’s own follower count also decreased. It is estimated that fake accounts account for 5 percent of the total number of users on Twitter.

Meanwhile, Elon Musk , in his tweet the previous day, said that he went to Apple’s headquarters and met with Apple CEO Tim Cook. The meeting in question came after Musk’s criticisms of the App Store and claims that Twitter could be removed from iOS apps. “We have resolved the misunderstanding about Twitter potentially being removed from the App Store,” Musk said. “Tim knew Apple never considered that.”
