Death toll rises in passenger bus falling into river in Spain
In Spain, the number of people who lost their lives when a passenger bus fell into the Lerez River while crossing the bridge increased to 6.
A bus carrying passengers between the cities of Lugo and Vigo fell into the Lerez River last Saturday at around 21:30 local time in the northwest of Spain.
In the statement made by the authorities, it was stated that the number of people who lost their lives in the accident increased to 6. It was reported that the treatment of 2 injured people continues.
It was stated that the search and rescue efforts have been completed, but the operations are continuing to remove the bus from the river.
On the other hand, the 63-year-old driver, who survived the accident, was tested for alcohol and drugs. The driver’s tests came back negative.
