Cyberpunk 2077 GOTY could really come true

Cyberpunk 2077 is certainly a game that caused discussion at the time of its release, although in recent months the CD Projekt RED title is in fact experiencing a second youth made up of large numbers.
The first-person role-playing game, which you can retrieve on Amazon , has in fact received various updates and news, although the real reason why the game literally “resurrected” was the launch of the Netflix Cyberpunk Edgerunners series.
The game promptly regained the top of Steam , so apparently we can speak of a full-fledged resurrection.
Now, waiting for Phantom Liberty – that is, the awaited paid DLC with new story and gameplay elements – it seems that CDPR has implicitly confirmed the imminent arrival of a Game of the Year edition .

As Insider-Gaming reported , speaking at an investor meeting in Warsaw, CD Projekt CEO Adam Kicinski revealed plans to release an edition of Cyberpunk 2077 Game of the Year in 2023 , after the launch of Phantom Liberty and the application of another “major update”.
Beyond that, the team has tangible plans to later put Cyberpunk 2077 to rest and then kick off work on the sequel .
The Stockwatch.pl portal first gave the news, taking up the words of Kicinski, who confirmed that, over the next year, Cyberpunk 2077 will receive a GOTY edition, in the form of a full-price release .
It’s the natural order of things: it was the same for The Witcher, which after the two expansions was finally released as Game of the Year Edition and has been on the market ever since. The same can be expected in this case.
The plan is then to release Phantom Liberty, the first (and only) expansion for the game, and then release the Game of the Year Edition which will almost certainly include Phantom Liberty by default as well .
Staying on topic, the sequel to Cyberpunk 2077 may not even enter pre-production in 2023 and the actual development work on the sequel could only start in 2024 .
