In just under two months, Apple will unveil its new generation of smartphones. In total, four new iPhones will be presented , including the brand new iPhone 14 Max. According to Ming-Chi Kuo, the pre-production phase would have encountered some initial setbacks.

According to the analyst, Apple would have been forced to change one of its suppliers on the run . This was due to a serious quality problem that would have plagued the lenses of some units of the smartphone. In short, the smartphone’s main camera lenses provided by one of the Asian partners would not have lived up to expectations.

The supplier in question were manufactured by Genius and had defects in the quality of the coating. Moral? Apple would have been forced to divert about 10 million orders from Genius to another competitor, Largan, based in Taiwan.

It is not clear if this problem – so close to the smartphone release – will lead to delays compared to the original roadmap. In the past, there was already talk of the possibility of a troubled launch, characterized by long waiting times for deliveries and availability of smartphones in the store ‘in fits and starts’.
