Bard, which has a similar working logic with ChatGPT, answers the questions asked by its users with artificial intelligence support. Bard, which is expected to be officially available in the coming period, started its journey by giving incorrect information.

Google’s artificial intelligence-powered chatbot Bard answered the question from its user with incorrect information . The detail that makes the subject interesting is that Bard’s erroneous answer appeared with Google’s Twitter ad. In short, Google accidentally shared Bard’s mistake on Twitter.

In the ad shared by Google, a user asks the Bard chatbot about new discoveries made by the James Webb Space Telescope . Among Bard’s answers is the James Webb Space Telescope, the first telescope to photograph a planet outside our own solar system.

Alphabet shares fell 7 percent

This information presented to the user by Bard is completely wrong. The first photograph of a planet outside our own solar system came in 2004 from the European Southern Observatory’s Very Large Telescope (VLT) . Shares of Alphabet, Google’s parent company, also fell 7 percent after it was revealed that Bard gave false information .

It would not be wrong to say that artificial intelligence supported chatbots are the future of search engines. As a reminder, Microsoft announced the revamped Bing and Edge browser powered by OpenAI yesterday . It wouldn’t be a surprise if Bard is also added to the Google search engine in the future. We will continue to keep you informed of developments on the subject.
