Bonelli Digital Classic: the Netflix of Italian comics costs €12.99 a month (but there’s an introductory offer)

Bonelli Digital Classic is born , the platform that allows access to a vast catalog with comics from what is by far the most important publisher on the Italian comics market.

There are two ways to access the contents. By subscription, thanks to a formula that allows access to all the comics published by the publishing house between the 1940s and 1982; or through the individual purchase of the albums and specials in which one is interested

The subscription therefore does not include the new publications, but exclusively the classics from Bonelli: from Tex to Zagor , obviously passing through Martin Mystère and Mister No . The decision to limit oneself to including the albums released before 1982 is at the very least curious: in this way Dylan Dog and Nathan Never are completely excluded, that is two of the titles most appreciated by fans of Made in Italy comics.

Bonelli Digital Classic is a subscription service . Access costs €12.99 a month, or €129.99 a year. On the occasion of the launch of the service, it is possible to benefit from a promotional rate: €9.99/month or €99.99/year.

Individual albums can be purchased. The price is €2.49 for regular series published in Bonelli format and €3.49 for specials and albums in maxi format.

It will also be possible to purchase the most recent albums individually, but they will only be uploaded to the platform six months after their release on newsstands (for special albums, the wait is reduced to three months). Bonelli Digital Classic is available on iOS and Android thanks to the specific application, but it is also possible to access the service via browser, through the official website.

Some more information on the service, directly from the official Bonelli website:

Each reader can choose the preferred use, browsing the register in three different ways:

  • Full page
  • Strip by strip
  • Vignette by vignette

For many books it is also possible to decide whether to browse the stories in the traditional and original black and white or to opt for the display of a modern color edition.

In addition to the mobile app version (downloadable from the Apple Store for iOS systems or Google Play for Android), Bonelli Digital Classic can also be used through the browser of a computer connected to the Internet.

A single subscription to Bonelli Digital Classic allows access to the service on two mobile devices, plus a desktop device. Each subscriber can thus use Bonelli Digital Classic simultaneously on their smartphone, tablet and personal computer in order to be able to enjoy the extensive catalog on every occasion.
