ASUS ROG Ally , the new Windows 11- based portable gaming console , is available for purchase starting today, June 13, at the official price of 799 euros.The device was unveiled last month and has already received a major firmware update that improved battery life by up to 20% compared to early international reviews.
The console boasts a 7-inch FHD touch display with a 120Hz refresh rate and FreeSync Premium support, reaching a maximum brightness of 500 nits. With the powerful Ryzen Z1 Extreme chip from AMD, equipped with the Zen4 architecture and RDNA 3 graphics, it offers high performance thanks to its 8 cores, 16 threads and 8.6 teraflops of graphics power. The hardware equipment also includes 16GB of 6400MHz LPDDR5 memory, 512GB of PCIe Gen 4 memory and a UHS-II microSD slot.
The console runs on Windows 11 Home and features a 7-inch IPS display with a 16:9 aspect ratio, covering 100% of the sRGB color space and 75.35% of the Adobe color space. With a response time of 7ms and Gorilla Glass DXC and Victus protection, the console offers an immersive viewing experience. It is also equipped with the AMD Ryzen Z1 Extreme processor with 4nm manufacturing process, with a maximum boost frequency of up to 5.10GHz, and AMD Radeon graphics with RDNA 3 architecture.
As for connectivity, the ROG Ally supports WiFi 6E and Bluetooth 5.2. It includes a fingerprint sensor for added security and is equipped with a 40Whr battery. The console weighs 608g and measures 28×11.1×2.12-3.24cm.
