Apple is already working on the Apple Watch Ultra 2: here’s when it will be released and all the news.
The next Apple Watch Ultra will be even more “Ultra”. Change the screen and improve autonomy, but not only.
Apple has already started working on the second generation of the Apple Watch Ultra, the ‘extreme’ smartwatch with a titanium case presented last September. It is intended for sportsmen and women and can be used, among other things, as a dive computer for diving.
A few months after its launch, the first rumors about the Apple Watch Ultra 2 have already begun to circulate. According to the rumors, the biggest changes should concern the screen, which could be wider and have important improvements in terms of energy consumption. After all, the main criticisms of the model currently on the market focused precisely on this aspect: it is a smartwatch designed for outdoor activities, but although its autonomy is higher than that of the Apple Watch Series 8, it still offers a battery life lower than that of its various competitors, such as Garmin’s smartwatches.
The Apple Watch Ultra could have a micro led display, and not oled like the current model. The diagonal could therefore go from 1.92 to 2.1 inches, in order to make it easier and more comfortable to use it during the most agitated situations.
It almost certainly won’t be released in 2023, when Apple is expected to present the Apple Watch Series 9. On the contrary, according to leakers, Apple would be willing to update the Ultra line every two years. Therefore, the second generation of the Apple Watch Ultra should come out during the last quarter of 2024.
