In the audio recordings, the children said that their ages ranged from 13 to 17, while Paludan, who was asked about his age, states that he is 39 years old.
While the age of consent in Sweden is 15, Paludan deliberately and consistently engages in sexually explicit conversations with 13- and 14-year-olds. In a conversation recorded on August 11, 2021, Paludan describes how a boy had sexual intercourse with an unnamed person called “User 1” behind a convenience store. After Paludan’s speech, a user asked “User 1”, “Well, do you work in a market, how old are you?” he asks. User 1 responds as “I don’t work in the market, I’m 14 years old”. In a conversation on August 14, 2021, Paludan tells the children that he is walking around the kitchen “naked”.
