To break the news is the site The Verge , according to which Mark Zuckerberg has decided to create a special team, called New Monetization Experience and led by Pratiti Raychoudhury, to explore the possibility of creating new functions under paywall for social networks that boast a total of two billion of users.

Interviewed by The Verge , Meta VP John Hegeman indirectly confirmed this possibility: “I think we see opportunities in building new types of products and functions, all of which people might want to pay for and be happy to do.”

Last July, for the first time in its history, Meta recorded a one percent drop in revenues and a 36 percent drop in net profit.
