Ed Boon: NetherRealm Won’t Show New Game As Part Of Mortal Kombat 30th Anniversary Celebrations

NetherRealm studio head Ed Boon tweeted that the studio known for Mortal Kombat and Injustice games is not announcing a new title as part of the Mortal Kombat franchise’s 30th anniversary celebration, which is scheduled for October 8th.

Boone said that there is a time for everything, so fans will have to wait some more time. Perhaps before The Game Awards.

At the end of January of this year, a developer from NetherRealm accidentally (or not) leaked the studio’s current game, Mortal Kombat 12, into photos. Earlier, various insiders and media outlets wrote that Ed Boon’s team is making Mortal Kombat, and not a new game in the Injustice series.

The last numbered part of Mortal Kombat is MK 11, released in the spring of 2019.
