150 million Euro loan from AKKB to Türk Eximbank

Türk Eximbank signed a loan agreement with the Council of Europe Development Bank (AKKB) for a maximum 7-year term resource of 150 million Euros, under the guarantee of the Ministry of Treasury and Finance.

A loan agreement was signed between Turk Eximbank and the Council of Europe Development Bank (AKKB).

According to the statement made by the bank, Türk Eximbank signed a loan agreement with the Council of Europe Development Bank for a maximum 7-year term resource of 150 million Euros, under the guarantee of the Ministry of Treasury and Finance.

With the said loan, in order to finance the working capital and investment needs of SMEs operating in the export sector; In return for the export commitment, it is aimed to provide low-interest and medium-term support and thus to protect the workforce employed by these companies.

Türk Eximbank General Manager Ali Güney, whose views were included in the statement, said:

“The mentioned resource will be used in attractive conditions for the financing of fixed capital investments and working capital needs of micro, small and medium-sized enterprises with less than 250 personnel for export and foreign exchange generating services. At least 53 million Euros of this loan will be provided to women. Exporters and private sector SMEs that support women’s participation in the workforce are targeted. Together with the two financing transactions we successfully completed with AKKB, the total amount of funds we obtained from AKKB reached 400 million Euros.”
